Thanks to the efforts of the "Visions in Action Group" and the generosity of the multimillionaire business family of Don & Lois Stein, their married children, Lori, Terry, and Todd, with spouses, and their grandchildren, Kristen, Calvin, Alex, Jarrod, Sydne, and Zoe Great Skates Fun Center Opened its doors in September of 1999, as Lafayette's only Roller Rink! Since that time Great Skates has grown into GREATER LAFAYETTE'S CHOICE FOR FAMILY FUN!!! We are known as the best place to host a PARTY in the GREATER LAFAYETTE AREA!!! With the addition of our premium REDEMPTION GAMES in 2000, our new POOL TABLES & RACING GAMES in 2001, The Renovation of our SKATE FLOOR & TOY STORE in 2002 and our NEW 2500 square foot LAZER TAG ARENA IN 2003.

Great Skates is owned by the Lyn Treece Boy's and Girls Club of Lafayette. The profits that we make go back to the community to benefit & fund programs for youth in the Greater Lafayette Area. Great Skates is operated by the KISCO BOARD OF DIRECTORS & MR. R. Scott Lehr who also serves as the General Manager of our facility.

We offer many different ways for your group to have fun!!! From SKATING, POOL, AIR HOCKEY, THE LATEST VIDEO GAMES, REDEMPTION GAMES (skee ball, etc..), AND LAZER TAG... We also have a FULL SERVICE SNACK BAR. Discounted prices are available to larger groups (We are able to accommodate groups of any size).

Great Skates skating floor is 80' x 130' it is constructed of Roller Board (wood) and is finished with the Roll-On plastic coating. We have the latest in Lighting & sound in our skating area.

Great Skates Lazer Tag is located in our newly constructed area in the back of our facility. (NO YOU DO NOT WEAR SKATES!!) Our vesting and briefing room is about 500 square feet. Our arena is 3500 square feet in size and consists of a fluorescent maze like pattern with techno music, black lights, and lots of fog. Our arena is set up for team or individual play.

Great Skates offers a full service snack bar that features Coca-Cola products. We also offer Pizza, Nachos, Popcorn, Potato Chips, Candy Bars, Cotton Candy, Sno-Cones, Big Pretzels, and many other premium items.

Great Skates game area is approximately 2000 square feet and features games like; Skee-Ball, Dual Driving & Motorcycle games, Air Hockey, Pool Tables as well as the latest video games. Before you leave our facility, be sure and cash in all of the tickets that you have won at our Great Skates "Toy Store", where we offer many different items for you to redeem your tickets for prizes.
